Update Highlights Q4 2024

Dear RentSyst users,

In this article we prepared a quarterly updates list of features that we added during October - December 2024.

LIST OF UPDATES:

1. Integration with new Payment Gateway - PesaPal.

2. Added new tag “Male/Female” inside customer profile for marketing purposes.

3. Payment tab - added new filter “Payment status”.

4. Payment tab - added new comment icon for memo and notes about payments.

5. Booking engine editor - added possibility to translate all delivery phrases.

6. Working area settings tab - added full screen button for Google Maps.

7. New security feature were added - Active session.

8. Reservation checklist - updated logic for “Balance” checkmark for minus due balance validation

9. Managers Access - new permission to work with Violations were added for managers.

10. Email notifications now available for Managers.

11. WayRent booking platform beta testing.

QUICK REVIEW HOW IT WORKS:

1. Integration with new Payment Gateway - PesaPal.

New integration option is now available in RentSyst. Payment gateway will perfect suits for following countries in Africa region:

• Kenya
• Malawi
• Tanzania
• Rwanda
• Uganda
• Zambia
• Zimbabwe

2. Added new tag “Male/Female” inside customer profile for marketing purposes.

For marketing purposes, now you may split your customers by Male/Female audience tag.
During XLS export this data also will be indicated on the gender column.

3. Payment tab - added new filter “Payment status”.

For your convenience our Devs team added a new filter for the Payments tab related to payment statuses.
Now you can easily group your payment operations by next data:

4. Payment tab - added new comment icon for memo and notes about payments.

Now you may also add any memo for your payment operations. Before that, notes were available for reservations only, so we extend this feature for your transactions notes as well. Here is how it works on Payment tab:

Step 1. Open payments Tab and add here new payment:

Step 2. In the pop-up window please indicate payment type, mark order ID to find it. Specify payment date and method, mark transaction amount and finally add your comment here. Press “Save payment”:

Step 3. Now on the selected payment date below the Info column – you will see a new notes icon near the question icon. When you move your mouse over it – you will see your notes here:

5. Booking engine editor - added possibility to translate all delivery phrases.

Now you may customize and translate absolutely all phrases, connected with delivery types name. You may find this feature inside booking editor on Step 4 - check order Summary menu and find Delivery window:

Click on Delivery purple frame to open “Active components settings” - it will activate a translation menu from right side, where you may customize all delivery phrases.

Click “Save” to update new translations for your booking page.

6. Working area settings tab - added full screen button for Google Maps.

Now you may navigate your working area location with full screen mode.

7. New security feature were added - Active session.

Additional option for your company security sessions. Now you may terminate an active session on another devices from your Admin access. Here is a video Guide how it works:

8. Reservation checklist - updated logic for “Balance” checkmark for minus due balance validation.

Fixed issue where you try to check order with negative balance on it and system drop an error pop-up to inform that its impossible to check the order with such conditions.

Usually such cases are rare and appear only in case your order were fully paid with zero due balance, and after you added a new transaction as a penalty without adding any extra option to the order summary. So the system identifies such payment transactions as negative balance (for instance -50.00 euro) and were not possible to check the order, until you add an extra for summary to re-balance for zero.

So now even with a negative balance, you will be able to check your order, because customer pay more than the order price.

9. Managers Access - new permission to work with Violations were added for managers.

Now your managers can additionally work with the Violation tab.

This rule is added as a part of Damage access, so you need to activate possibility to works with a Damages and its activating Violations as well.

10. Email notifications now available for Managers.

We received a huge amount with requests to be able also notify your managers about important order alerts directly to manager email.

Great news! This feature is finally available for managers!

How it works?

All notifications alerts connected with orders that you activate for Admin, your manager also will receive automatically. It means that in case Admin received a new email “Order accepted” or “Order confirmed“ – the responsible manager assigned to this order will also receive such email templates automatically.

To assign this rule, you need to go in “Company & Managers” settings menu, open Managers profile and simply add managers email in pop-up window:

Pay attention, that email notifications dont goes for all your managers team, but only for manager, who were assigned for specific reservation:

You can also check or adit assigned manager per reservation inside your Daily Plan:

11. WayRent booking platform beta testing.

We are excited to introduce WayRent – its Aggregator platform, designed by RentSyst Team to help rental companies reach more customers and reservations to increase sales!

The beta phase now is on active testing stage and official release will be announced very soon.
