Update Highlights Q2-2026

Here's everything that shipped between April and June 2026 — grouped by theme.

The second quarter of 2026 pushed RentSyst further into deeper broker connectivity, smarter payments, and cleaner data handling for car rental businesses. From new payment gateways and automatic billing fallbacks to an extended Broker API and richer exports, here’s everything that shipped between April and June 2026 — grouped by theme.

Delivery shortcodes (Agreement, Invoice)

Cleaner document building with better-organized shortcodes.

1. Delivery shortcodes reorganized

Delivery-related shortcodes have been pulled out of the general list and grouped into their own dedicated “Delivery” category inside the Agreement editor.

We’ve also revised the naming so each shortcode clearly describes what it inserts — delivery location, delivery time, delivery fee, and so on. The result is a cleaner shortcode picker where you can find the right Delivery field in seconds instead of scanning one long mixed list, which means fewer mistakes when preparing rental agreements.

Broker Management & Integrations

More flexible broker partnerships and two new integration channels.

2. Broker promo codes  [Promotional rates]

You can now issue a dedicated rate code or set of product credentials to a broker so they can book at your special promotional rates.

Instead of manually adjusting prices for each partner, the promo code carries the agreed rate logic and applies it automatically when the broker creates a reservation. This makes it easy to run partner-specific campaigns and seasonal deals while keeping full control over which rates each broker can access.

3. Rental period validation for brokers

Each broker connection can now enforce a minimum and maximum rental period. If a broker tries to push a booking that’s shorter or longer than your allowed range, the system rejects it before it ever reaches your fleet. This protects availability from one-day bookings on premium vehicles or over-long reservations that block the calendar, and keeps broker traffic aligned with your rental policy.

4. Extended Broker-API order parameters

The Broker API now exposes a set of previously missing order fields:

  • Free km per day
  • Minimum rent days
  • Maximum rent days
  • Rate per km (mile)
  • Gearbox type
  • Body type
  • Fuel type

Brokers and OTA partners receive richer, more accurate vehicle and pricing data, which means fewer mismatched offers and cleaner listings on their side. This closes several gaps that partners had flagged and brings the API in line with what modern booking channels expect.

5. New Broker: Book N’ Ride (Albania market)

Added official Book N’ Ride branding and logo to the integrations catalog on the website. When you connect the channel, it now displays with the correct partner identity across the integration screens and public-facing pages. A small but important step in presenting Book N’ Ride as a first-class connected broker for local Albanian rental companies.

6. New Broker integration: Economy Car Rentals (Worldwide)

RentSyst now integrates with Economy Cars, opening another global broker channel for inbound reservations (200+ countries worldwide)

Your fleet and availability can be distributed to this partner, and their bookings flow back into RentSyst automatically with no manual re-entry. It’s part of the ongoing push to widen the network of sales channels available to rental companies on the platform.

Make sure to apply for a Supplier account first.

Payments & Financial Updates

More ways to pay, richer checkout data, and safer billing.

7. Bancontact + Stripe as parallel methods

Bancontact and Stripe can now run at the same time as parallel payment methods at checkout. Customers in markets where Bancontact is popular — notably Belgium — can pay with their preferred method, while everyone else continues through Stripe. Offering both side by side reduces drop-off at the payment step and covers more of your customer base without extra configuration per booking.

8. Extended Stripe Checkout

Stripe Checkout now captures additional client parameters during the payment flow. Instead of collecting customer details separately, the required fields are gathered as part of the transaction and passed straight back into the order. This means more complete and accurate client records with far less manual follow-up after the payment is made.

9. New payment gateway: Authorize.Net

Authorize.Net has been added as a supported payment gateway. Rental companies that already work with Authorize.Net — or need it for their region — can now accept card payments through it directly inside RentSyst. This broadens the range of processors available and makes onboarding easier for businesses tied to a specific gateway.

Taxes & Billing Logic

Finer control and stronger validation on the tax side.

10. Tax validation for billing

We’ve strengthened the tax validation logic used during billing. The system now checks tax configuration more carefully before applying it to invoices, catching misconfigured or conflicting tax rules early. The result is more accurate totals on documents and fewer corrections needed after an invoice has already been issued.

11. Min/max limits for tax cost

Tax limit cost now supports minimum and maximum components, so you can define both a floor and a ceiling for how a tax is applied. This is useful for jurisdictions where a tax has a fixed lower bound or is capped at a maximum amount regardless of the rental value. It gives finance teams precise control over edge cases that a plain percentage couldn’t handle before.

Agents & Coupons

Better attribution for agent-driven bookings.

12. Link orders to an Agent by coupon

Orders can now be linked to a specific Agent based on the coupon used at booking. When a customer applies an agent’s coupon, the resulting reservation is automatically attributed to that agent with no manual tagging required. This makes commission tracking and agent-performance reporting far more reliable, since every coupon-driven booking is tied to the right person.

Reservations, Export & Data Management

Faster filtering and richer export files for reporting and brokers.

13. New reservations filter: Vehicle group

The Reservations list now includes a Vehicle group filter. You can narrow bookings down to a single group — economy, SUV, van, and so on — to review demand, availability, or issues within one segment of the fleet. It’s a fast way to focus on exactly the vehicles that matter for a given task instead of scrolling the entire reservation list.

14. Reservation export: Invoice No & Agreement No

The reservation export now includes two new columns: “Invoice No” and “Agreement No”. Each exported booking carries its linked document numbers, so you can reconcile reservations against invoices and agreements directly in a spreadsheet. This removes a common manual lookup step for accounting and audit work.

15. Reservation export: Broker

A “Broker” column has been added to the reservations export file. Every booking now shows which broker or channel it came from, making it easy to measure volume, revenue, and performance per partner in your own reporting tools. Sorting or pivoting by broker becomes a one-step operation.

16. Fleet export: Vehicle unique ID

The fleet export now includes a “Vehicle unique id” column. This identifier is what broker integrations use to map each of your vehicles reliably to their systems, so having it in the export makes setting up and troubleshooting those integrations much easier. A practical addition for anyone syncing fleet data with external partners.

Website & Website Builder

A refreshed marketing site and safer Website Builder handling.

17. Updated Partnership landing page

The Partnership page on the RentSyst website has been refreshed with clearer messaging and updated content. Prospective partners get a better overview of how the partnership program works and what’s on offer. It’s part of ongoing work to keep the public site aligned with the platform’s current capabilities.

18. New “Website Builder” product page

A dedicated Website Builder sub-page has been added under Products on the website. It introduces the builder, explains what rental companies can create with it, and gives the feature its own home for marketing and SEO. Visitors interested in launching a rental site now have a clear place to learn more.

19. Protected Website Builder sites

You can no longer delete an Agent website while it still has an active site published through the Website Builder. Previously it was possible to remove the underlying agent site and unintentionally take down a live website. The new safeguard blocks that action, protecting published sites from accidental deletion.

Q2 2026 was all about connecting RentSyst more tightly to your partners and payments — a deeper Broker API, new gateways, automatic billing safeguards, and exports built for real reporting workflows.

Stay tuned — even more updates are on the way next quarter.
